"We're Fed and we maraud": Fleet Admiral Jock McVittie

This Star Trek Online (STO) fleet was set-up on 10 January 2020 purely to enable its founders to start a fleet from scratch and take on the challenges that entails.

McVittie's Marauders and The House of Arrgh, may be a place for individual characters to come together, rather than be a sprawling entity where you and yours are but a tiny part. This has been considered and taken into account, in terms of expectations of players, and fleet names.

Whilst The House of Arrgh is based on the name of a Klingon character, it should in itself suggest a small sense of mischief about it - whereas McVittie's Marauders was more considered and wanted to suggest a sense of individuality and perhaps some originality of method and thinking.

There will not be any requirements on players to contribute to Fleet Projects. Naturally, however, when it comes time for resources to be made available, those that contribute are going to get preferential treatment/consideration, and you will need fleet credits earned from contributing to the fleet(s) to purchase fleet gear, ships and Doffs.

As you would have seen, there is a Klingon (KDF) Fleet - The House of Arrgh - for any of your KDF faction characters.

About John "Jock" McVittie

Some say that if you cut me open you'll see the word "FED" running through me like a stick of rock. Well, I may be a 'blue-eyed' Starfleet, by-the-rules officer, but I can think and make decisions for myself, taking account of my oath and The Prime Directive, with the situation at hand.

The rules are there and they are there for a reason, but not every situation can be accounted for by the rules - especially in our business - so sometimes we have to put something special in place and see how it goes.

If you can't do that, if you can't adapt to the situation and see that sometimes we may need to break old rules or create new rules, for new situations, then you might want to re-consider your own future - and consider if the command seat of a Starfleet ship is the right place for you.
